Australasian road safety conference

On behalf of councils, 51°µÍøattended the recent Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) annual conference in Hobart to engage with industry experts, policy-makers and leaders.

51°µÍøis committed to empowering local governments to improve road safety outcomes and reduce fatalities on local roads.

Last year, there were more than 1200 fatalities on Australia’s roads, and 40,000 people were seriously injured, which leaves lasting impacts on the lives of victims and families, and costs the Australian economy around $30 billion a year.

With local governments managing over 75 per cent of the nation’s road network, 51°µÍølooks forward to using the learnings and outcomes of the to benefit councils and communities.
